Cockpits

Choosing the Right Cockpit Set

Air Hollywood offers cockpit sets for different eras and aircraft types, each built to be film-friendly:

  • Wide-Body Glass Cockpit: modeled after the Boeing 757/767, with backlit panels that resemble digital glass-cockpit displays, plus fly-away walls, window panels, seats and yokes. Best for modern airliner scenes.
  • 727 Analog Cockpit: from a real aircraft, with all original switches and gauges rewired so that everything works. Fly-away windows and a split design give more coverage options.
  • Analog Cockpit (Vintage): an actual Convair 880 with analog gauges, an engineering panel and an exterior shell that reads as a 1960s/1970s cockpit. It is the cockpit mock-up used in the classic comedy Airplane!

Shooting Through the Glass

On the analog cockpits the windows fly away, making it easy to shoot from the front through the glass, and the sets split in half for more coverage and easier transport.

Complete the Flight

Pair a cockpit with a cabin such as the Narrow-Body 737 or Wide-Body 747, and dress it with in-flight props and wardrobe and accessories from Air Hollywood Props.

How to Book a Scout

Scouts are by appointment at our studio at 27615 Avenue Hopkins, Valencia, CA 91355. Call 747-400-0747 or contact us online and we will set up a time to walk the set with your team.
