The World’s Largest Aviation-Themed Production Studio to be based At Pinewood Atlanta Studios
ATLANTA, GA, (April 20, 2016) – Air Hollywood, a Los Angeles-based firm specializing in aviation-themed film production services, announces the launch of Air Hollywood ATL, located at Pinewood Atlanta Studios Media Park. The new studio will be operated by Rob Frank, a veteran film and television location manager and owner of Legacy Movie Ranch.
Air Hollywood ATL launches immediately with a full-size Boeing 757 Cabin Interior as well as an extensive inventory of airline-themed set dressing, with plans to deliver additional sets and props over the next several months such as a wide-body passenger jet, cockpits, private jets, and a state-of-the-art airport terminal that promises to solve the logistical challenges posed by on-location filming at real airports.
Although it serves clients all over the globe, Air Hollywood ATL is the company’s first official presence on the East Coast. According to Rob Frank, “A studio in Atlanta is ideally positioned to deliver these specialty services in a cost-effective manner to any production based between New York and Dallas.”
The newly formed location aims to support Georgia’s burgeoning film production industry as producers flock to the Peach State for its attractive tax incentive program. Owner and CEO of Air Hollywood, Talaat Captan states “We have had our eye on expansion for a long time and after a decade of high fragmentation, we are now finally seeing film activities consolidate to a few select markets, which gives us the confidence to invest. Atlanta is a no-brainer.”
Air Hollywood ATL plans to host an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and cocktail party sometime in May, where State and City Film Office representatives and industry professionals can tour the studio and meet the partners. Event details will be announced via company website.
